This gallery contains photos and comments from the continuation of an epic journey traveling most of the world. I began this journey in January 2007 http://danbrew.smugmug.com/gallery/2252365/1/117546107) and for reasons too complicated to get into, never finished. I'm going to try again, though. I'll leave Chicago in early August on the same flight that I took back in January. I'll fly to Moscow and then travel across Siberia and the Gobi desert to Beijing. I've decided to add a journey from Beijing to Hanoi to see a little bit of Vietnam as well. Photos, posts, commentary & thoughts to follow...

I'm sure I did get their names, but I can't remember... sorry. We'll call them Phillippe and Monique.
There are about 450 pictures in this gallery - I have taken almost 6000 on my trip and have tried to just show off my favorites. It's tough to pair them down, that's for sure. And 450 is probably too many, but this has been a great trip with many different things to see. They say a picture is worth a thousand words - hopefully you've enjoyed some of these pics, and, perhaps, have decided to embark on a trip of your own. Take pictures. Send links.
It's Friday night about 8:30p. I leave Sunday morning, so I've got one full day left - not quite sure what I'll do in the morning. Maybe I'll sleep in?

Ok, a quick postscript - it's 10:30p and I *am* going to sleep in. I'm also going to visit the Spa tomorrow. I've got a four-hour spa treatment lined up in the morning. How much? $65. Wow.
